Sunny Villa: A Warm and Stylish Residence

Hidden Doors and Modern Classic Elements

One of the unique features of Sunny Villa is the clever use of hidden doors to separate the public and private areas. These concealed doors not only maintain the consistency of the interior but also avoid disrupting the theme of each area. The boundary between different spaces is seamlessly integrated, creating a harmonious flow throughout the residence.

The color planning in Sunny Villa is another standout aspect of the design. Modern classic elements are incorporated into each area, with straight lines and large, elegant color blocks. In the public area, the ceiling, floor, and walls are adorned with light, medium, and dark tones, creating a vibrant three-dimensional space. The use of different colors in the public and private areas adds depth and character to the overall design.

The realization of Sunny Villa relies on a careful selection of building materials. Wood grain, tiles, moru glass, iron parts, thin slab tiles, and eco-friendly latex paint are used to create a calm and restrained impression. The dark brown color scheme with wood grain balances the warmth of the space, while light-colored paint helps to alleviate any oppressive feelings. The main colors in the public and private areas are intentionally different, with beige dominating the public area and carbon black wood walls allowing homeowners to showcase their favorite items.

With a total area of 2200 square feet, Sunny Villa features five rooms, a living room, and a dining room. The design team aimed to maximize the horizontal space, linking the living and dining rooms and optimizing the kitchen orientation. The ceiling serves as a frame to enhance the width, while passageways in the private area allude to the theme of each area, replacing traditional partitions and creating a sense of harmony.

Sunny Villa is not only a comfortable home for the family but also a welcoming space for visitors. The open-plan public area can accommodate many people and is designed to meet various contexts. The route to the kitchen and dining room is straightforward, with a spacious dining table and kitchen island enhancing functionality. The living room features a TV wall that echoes the wall behind the sofa, creating an entertainment area with a large color block and marble textures. A cozy atmosphere is achieved with a couch placed next to the window.

The project for Sunny Villa started in March 2022 in Hong Kong. Extensive research was conducted to strike a balance between the dark color scheme and the use of various materials. The design team utilized large color blocks as the basis, embellishing them with stone patterns, grilles, and special paint to achieve a harmonious blend of diversity and minimalism. Straight patterned walls serve as visual guides and add a touch of geometric art to the space. The special TV wall complements the overall design, creating a cohesive visual effect.

Overcoming challenges such as optimizing the use of space and maintaining visual balance, C and I Interior Design Limited has created a truly remarkable design with Sunny Villa. The warm and fresh style, combined with modern classic elements and hidden doors, sets this residence apart. It is no wonder that Sunny Villa was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative features that contribute to a better world.
